MEET AMERICAN CORNHOLE LEAGUE PRO MIKE HOFFMAN!

The 2022-2023 American Cornhole League season marks Mike Hoffman’s 2nd year as a professional cornhole league player. With the great accomplishment of earning the title of 2022 Maryland Singles State Champion, he has set the bar high for his goals this year to dominate the boards and take home more titles.

Mike Hoffman is part of the ACL Mid-Atlantic Conference living in Maryland with his wife and two teenage sons. Besides working full time he sets up his boards every night to sharpen his shooting skills. I asked Mike what his sons thought of him being a professional cornhole player and in true teenager fashion, they don’t care & think it's kinda dorky (we wholeheartedly disagree Mike!). He likes to tease them saying he is going to start a cornhole club at their school.

Mike started playing cornhole in 2015 going to blind draws where he fell in love with the game. He used his competitive nature to sharpen his skills and last year went pro in the American Cornhole League starting his rookie year teamed up with fellow Maryland resident & pro Dayton Webber. During his early days of cornhole, he also met his now doubles pro doubles partner, ACL Pro Timothy Pitcher. Over the years they have built a friendship and bond on and off the boards. Having a connection beyond cornhole allows them to be in tune with throwing, being able to pick eachother up & encourage each other during game play. Mike has built friendships with most of Team Gladiator and is looking forward to getting to know the rest this season.

Mike was mentioned near the end of January by well respected Jake Brannon, ACL Broadcast Commentator & cornhole player out of Maryland stating, “Throwing a 10.59 PPR through 86 rounds, Hoffman was the best player in the building Saturday in Delaware. If he can get back to that comfortability and stay that consistent, the reigning Maryland state champion will quickly become one of, if not, the best players in the state.”

Favorite City Visited For Cornhole: Last year's shootout event that was in Mesa, Arizona. He was able to road trip to the next event the following weekend to Vegas making a family trip out of the week with as he put it, “Cornhole bookends”
